We are having dinner tonight at seven. The chef is preparing a special meal for our guests.

Hij kookt het hoofdgerecht heel snel. De keuken ruikt nu absoluut heerlijk.

He cooks the main course very quickly. The kitchen now smells really good.

Ik heb gehoord dat hij het toetje ook helemaal zelf maakt. Het is blijkbaar een chocoladetaart met room.

I heard that he makes the dessert all by himself too. Apparently it's a chocolate cake with cream.

Dat klinkt geweldig. Ze gaan morgenmiddag ook picknicken in de tuin.

That sounds great. They're also going to have a picnic in the garden tomorrow afternoon.

Als het weer warm blijft, wordt het de perfecte dag voor buiten dineren. Ik breng misschien wat fruit en kaas mee.

If the weather stays warm, it will be the perfect day to eat outside. I might bring some fruit and cheese.

Goed idee. Het brood van de bakkerij beneden is ook fantastisch voor picknicks.

Good idea. The bread from the bakery downstairs is also great for picnics.

Ik koop morgenochtend vers brood. De bakker zei dat hij nieuwe recepten voor het lenteseizoen heeft.

I'm buying fresh bread tomorrow morning. The baker said he has new recipes for the spring season.

Ik denk er zelf over om dit weekend iets te koken. Misschien een eenvoudig kipgerecht.

I'm thinking of cooking something this weekend. Maybe a simple chicken dish.
