Nathan, j'ai été complètement convaincue par son argument lors du débat télévisé d'hier soir. Sa rhétorique était à la fois claire et profondément émouvante.

Nathan, I was completely convinced by his argument in last night's TV debate. His speech was clear and very moving.

Vraiment ? Bien que son intervention ait été remarquable, je trouve ses chiffres discutables sur plusieurs points essentiels.

Really? Though his talk was remarkable, I find his numbers questionable on several important points.

Tu as peut-être raison. Cependant, sa sincérité m'a touchée bien davantage que la précision arithmétique de ses statistiques.

C'est compréhensible. Néanmoins, en politique, les émotions doivent céder la place à la rigueur des faits, sinon le débat perd toute substance.

That's understandable. Still, in politics emotions should give way to facts, or the debate loses meaning.

Je l'admets. Elle était ravie du résultat de la réunion qui a suivi, car son projet a été approuvé à l'unanimité.
