We gaan volgende maand voor het eerst samen naar het buitenland vliegen. Ik ben ongelooflijk opgewonden over de reis.

Next month we will fly abroad together for the first time. I am really excited about the trip.

Ik ben enorm opgewonden om voor het eerst per vliegtuig te reizen. De vlucht duurt blijkbaar zes uur.

I'm very excited to fly for the first time. The flight is apparently six hours.

We reizen op de terugweg over zee, op een luxe cruiseschip. Het zou de meest ontspannen reis denkbaar moeten zijn.

We travel back by sea on a luxury cruise ship. It should be the most relaxing trip imaginable.

Briljant plan. Heb je het hotel vlakbij de haven al geboekt? Reserveringen raken snel vol.

Brilliant plan. Have you booked the hotel near the harbor yet? Reservations fill up quickly.

Ik heb de reservering vorige week gemaakt. De receptioniste was heel vriendelijk en bevestigde alles per e-mail.

I made the reservation last week. The receptionist was very friendly and confirmed everything by email.

Uitstekend. We moeten ook wat lokale tours onderzoeken voordat we gaan. Ik hou van bezienswaardigheden bekijken met een gids.

Excellent. We should also look into some local tours before we go. I like seeing the sights with a guide.

Ik kocht gisteren een reisgids. Hij vermeldt tientallen prachtige plekken om te bezoeken.

I bought a travel guide yesterday. It lists dozens of beautiful places to visit.

Geweldig. Ik download misschien ook wat reispodcasts voor de lange vlucht.

Great. I might also download some travel podcasts for the long flight.
Lars
Slim idee. De veerboot naar de eilanden is ook het overwegen waard. Het is veel goedkoper dan de cruise.

Good idea. The ferry to the islands is also worth considering. It is much cheaper than the cruise.

Klopt. We zouden beide kunnen combineren. Cruise heen, ferry rond de eilanden, dan naar huis vliegen.

That's right. We could combine both. Cruise there, take a ferry around the islands, then fly home.
