Ece’nin Dalgalı Akşamı

1. Akşamüstü, Ece ve ailesi deniz kenarındaki küçük bir camp alanına geldi.

   In the late afternoon, Ece and her family arrived at a small campsite by the sea.

2. Babası Mehmet ile mavi bir tent kurdular.

   He and his father Mehmet set up a blue tent.

3. Ece, bileğindeki surf watch ile dalgalara bakıyor.

   Ece watches the waves with the surf watch on her wrist.

4. “Bugün surfboarding denemek istiyorum,” dedi Ece.

   "I want to try surfing today," Ece said.

5. Anne Ayşe gülümsedi ve, “Önce rüzgâra bakalım, çünkü güvenlik önemli,” dedi.

   Mother Ayşe smiled and said, "Let's check the wind first, because safety is important."

6. Rüzgâr artıyor ve dalgalar büyüyor.

   The wind grows stronger and the waves get bigger.

7. Bileğindeki saat yüksek dalga zamanını gösterince, Ayşe beklemeyi önerdi.

   When the watch on her wrist showed high tide, Ayşe suggested waiting.

8. “Rüzgâr ne zaman dinecek?” diye fısıldadı Ece.

   "When will the wind stop?" Ece whispered.

9. Üçü birlikte kamp yolunda kısa bir cycling yaptı.

   The three of them did a short bike ride on the way to the camp.

10. Dönünce rüzgâr azalmaya başladı ve hava yumuşadı.

    When they turned, the wind started to calm and the air softened.

11. Ece kırmızı bir swimming-costume giydi.

    Ece wore a red swimsuit.

12. Sonra kıyıda annesiyle yavaşça swimming yaptı.

    Then she slowly swam with her mother by the shore.

13. Babası rüzgârın sakin olduğuna emin olunca, kıyıya yakın kısa bir sailing turu yapmayı önerdi.

    When his father was sure the wind was calm, he suggested a short sail near the shore.

    Ece was happy, but she realized she would not try a long surf session today and she was not upset.

    When they return to the shore and the stars come out, they will camp quietly as a family.

    At night they dimmed the lamp inside the tent and listened to the sound of the waves.

    Ece had drawn the winter skiing day on a page in her notebook and looked at it.

18. “Yarın rüzgâr uygun olursa biraz daha deneriz,” dedi Mehmet, ve Ece gülümseyip huzurla uykuya daldı.

    "If the wind is good tomorrow we'll try a bit more," Mehmet said, and Ece smiled and fell asleep peacefully.
