Una llamada clara en la biblioteca

  1. En la biblioteca del barrio, Bruno quiere invitar a su amiga Lucía a un juego de palabras mañana.

    At the local library, Bruno wants to invite his friend Lucía to a word game tomorrow.

  2. Ve un cartel sobre una pequeña competencia de lectura en la sala infantil.

    She sees a poster about a small reading contest in the children's room.

  3. La señora Marta, la bibliotecaria, le explica las reglas, y Bruno asiente, nervioso pero contento.

    Mrs. Marta, the librarian, explains the rules to him, and Bruno nods, nervous but happy.

  4. Él piensa: necesito llamar a Lucía o enviarle un mensaje ahora.

    He thinks, 'I need to call Lucía or send her a message now.'

  5. Mira su móvil y duda: teléfono versus texto.

    They look at their phone and hesitate: call or text.

    —Hi, Lucía, it's Bruno; there's a practice meeting at the library, can you come?

  13. Lucía sonríe al oírlo y dice que , porque le encanta aprender un idioma con juegos.

    Lucía smiles when she hears it and says yes, because she loves learning a language with games.

  14. En pocos minutos, Lucía ha llegado a la sala infantil y saluda a Bruno y a la señora Marta.

    A few minutes later, Lucía arrives at the children's room and greets Bruno and Mrs. Marta.

  15. Bruno le cuenta que el texto por fin salió y que también la llamó, y los tres se ríen.

    Bruno tells her that the text finally came through and that he also called her, and the three laugh.

  16. La señora Marta les trae tarjetas con palabras y explica otra vez las reglas, claras y simples.

    Mrs. Marta brings them cards with words and explains the rules again, clear and simple.

    They practice together and do a mini presentation, taking turns and speaking softly, like a proper conversation.

    Bruno thinks calling was better than waiting for the text, because he heard her laugh right away and everything was calm.
