La soirée à la maison de Hugo

1. Ce soir, Hugo veut préparer une petite soirée à la maison avec sa sœur Léa.

   Tonight, Hugo wants to have a small get-together at home with his sister Léa.

2. Ils vivent dans un appartement calme, dans la cuisine et le salon du même lieu.

   They live in a quiet apartment where the kitchen and the living room are in the same space.

3. Ils vont regarder un film et manger une soupe ensemble.

   They are going to watch a movie and eat soup together.

4. Claire, leur maman, allume une lampe et sourit.

   Claire, their mother, turns on a lamp and smiles.

5. Elle dit: "Je coupe les légumes, et vous mettez la table."

   She says, "I'll cut the vegetables, and you set the table."

6. La pluie tape doucement aux vitres, et tout semble tranquille.

   The rain taps softly on the windows, and everything seems quiet.

7. Sur les objets, ils ont collé de petites étiquettes en anglais: sink au-dessus de l'évier, drawer sur le tiroir, et shelf près de l'étagère.

   They stuck small English labels on the items: 'sink' above the sink, 'drawer' on the drawer, and 'shelf' by the shelf.

8. À côté de la télé, il y a un lecteur avec une étiquette DVD-player.

   Next to the TV, there is a player with a 'DVD-player' label.

    "We can't find it anywhere because the apartment is a bit messy," Claire said.

15. Hugo ne voit plus non plus la musique sur la table, et il fronce les sourcils.

    Hugo no longer sees the music on the table either, and he frowns.

16. "Rangeons ensemble, ce sera plus facile", dit Claire, et ils commencent à tout remettre à sa place.

    "Let's tidy up together, it will be easier," Claire said, and they start putting everything back in its place.

17. En rangeant, Léa rit: le sac brun est tout en haut de l'étagère, et Hugo retrouve l'appareil de musique dans le tiroir.

18. Claire branche le lecteur, le DVD-player s'allume, la soupe est chaude, et le film commence doucement.
