Le soir doux de Manon

1. Ce soir, Manon veut préparer un coin doux pour lire et écouter de la musique avec sa maman.

   Tonight, Manon wants to make a cozy corner to read and listen to music with her mom.

2. Dans le salon, il y a un tapis très doux, et le canapé est à côté de la lampe.

   In the living room, there is a very soft rug, and the sofa is next to the lamp.

3. Les meubles sont simples et chauds, et Manon sourit.

   The furniture is simple and warm, and Manon smiles.

4. Elle sort un vieux lecteur CD pour mettre une chanson calme.

   She takes out an old CD player to play a calm song.

5. Mais le bouton ne marche pas, et la musique ne démarre pas.

   But the button does not work, and the music does not start.

6. Maman prend la main de Manon et dit qu'elles vont chercher une solution doucement.

7. Elles vont dans la cuisine, où le grand réfrigérateur ronronne.

13. Elles retournent au salon et s'assoient sur le tapis, avec deux coussins et du lait chaud.

14. Maman appuie doucement sur le bon bouton, parce que Manon a confondu lecture et arrêt tout à l'heure.

    Mom gently presses the right button because Manon confused play and stop earlier.

15. Cette fois, le lecteur fonctionne, et une musique très douce commence.

    This time, the player works, and very soft music starts.

16. Manon pose sa tête sur l'épaule de Maman et écoute sans bouger.

    Manon rests her head on Mom's shoulder and listens without moving.

17. Elles vont bientôt dormir près du canapé, et la maison semble respirer lentement.

    They will soon sleep near the couch, and the house seems to breathe slowly.

18. Tout est calme, et Manon s'endort heureuse, car la maison est leur petit nid ce soir.
