She said she would call back later tonight. I've been waiting all afternoon for her message.
Anna
Hij klaagde dat de advertentie misleidend was. Het hele artikel zat vol met valse beloftes.

He complained that the advertisement was misleading. The whole article was full of false promises.
Lars
Kun jij het nummer van de pizzeria intoetsen? Ik ben te moe om het zelf op te zoeken.

Can you dial the pizzeria's number? I'm too tired to look it up myself.
Anna
Natuurlijk. Ik zal ook onze gebruikelijke bestelling noemen zodat ze die snel klaarmaken.

Of course. I'll also tell them our usual order so they can make it quickly.
Lars
Briljant. Terwijl jij belt, ga ik mijn e-mail checken en op een paar dringende berichten antwoorden.

Ze vertelde me dat ze gisteren je sms had ontvangen. Waarom heeft ze nog niet geantwoord?

Geen idee. Misschien is haar smartphone kapot. Ze noemde vorige week dat het scherm gebarsten was.

No idea. Maybe her smartphone is broken. She said last week that the screen was cracked.
Anna
Dat zou het verklaren. Als ze een werkende telefoon had, zou ze zeker meteen reageren.

That would explain it. If she had a working phone, she would definitely respond right away.
Lars
Klopt. Ik stuur haar misschien een e-mail in plaats daarvan. Soms werkt traditionele communicatie beter.

Right. I might send her an email instead. Sometimes traditional communication works better.
Anna
Slimme aanpak. Heb je gemerkt hoezeer we afhankelijk zijn van technologie voor dagelijkse communicatie?

Smart approach. Have you noticed how much we depend on technology for daily communication?
Lars
Voortdurend. Zelfs eten bestellen vereist nu een app. Het is verbazingwekkend en een beetje beangstigend tegelijk.

Constantly. Even ordering food now requires an app. It's amazing and a little scary.
Anna
Mee eens. Soms mis ik het toen we gewoon van persoon tot persoon spraken.

I agree. Sometimes I miss when we just spoke one on one.
