Verhaal

Mila's Zachte Avondshow

1. Het is avond in de woonkamer.

   It's evening in the living room.

2. Op de bank zit Mila met Mama Noor en Papa Tom.

   Mila sits on the couch with Mom Noor and Dad Tom.

3. Er is zacht licht, en Mila lacht.

   There is soft light, and Mila is smiling.

4. Zij wil een kleine show maken voor hen.

   She wants to put on a little show for them.

5. De televisie staat eerst aan, maar Papa zet hem uit zodat het stil is.

   The television is on at first, but Dad turns it off so it's quiet.

6. Mila zet de radio heel zacht voor een beginliedje.

   Mila turns the radio down very low for a starter song.

7. Papa zet de camera op een stapel boeken.

   Dad puts the camera on a stack of books.

8. Maar de camera wiebelt een beetje, en Mila is bang dat hij valt.

   But the camera wobbles a bit, and Mila is afraid it will fall.

9. Papa schuift een mok erbij, en nu staat hij vast.

   Dad slides a mug next to it, and now it's steady.

10. Mila oefent haar liedje en buigje.

    Mila practices her song and a little bow.

11. Mama belt Oma met de telefoon, zodat Oma kan luisteren.

    Mama calls Grandma on the phone so Grandma can listen.

12. Iedereen gaat zitten, en de show begint rustig.

    Everyone sits down, and the show starts quietly.

13. Mila praat langzaam en duidelijk, en ze zingt zacht.

    Mila talks slowly and clearly, and she sings softly.

14. Papa en Mama klappen, en Oma lacht via de telefoon.

    Dad and Mom clap, and Grandma laughs on the phone.

15. Iedereen glimlacht.

    Everyone smiles.

16. Mila voelt zich trots en moe en kruipt tussen hen in op de bank.

    Mila feels proud and tired and cuddles up between them on the couch.

17. Ze fluistert: De Zachte Avondshow is klaar, dank je wel.

    She whispers, "The Soft Evening Show is ready, thank you."

18. De woonkamer is stil en warm, en samen doen ze de lamp uit.

    The living room is quiet and warm, and together they turn off the lamp.
