Story

Bizim Battaniyemiz

1. Akşam, oturma odasında küçük bir oyun ister Mehmet.

   In the evening, Mehmet wants to play a small game in the living room.

2. Anne gülümser ve renkli kelime kartları çıkarır: my, your, our, we, us, ve whose.

   Mother smiles and takes out the colorful word cards: my, your, our, we, us, and whose.

3. “Eşyalarımızı tanıyalım,” der Anne, ve herkes yakına gelir.

   "Let's get to know our things," Mom says, and everyone comes closer.

4. Masada bir kırmızı kitap var.

   There is a red book on the table.

5. Mehmet kitabı tutar ve “Bu benim kitabım,” der; Anne my kartını yanına koyar.

   Mehmet holds the book and says, “This is my book,”; Anne puts my card next to it.

6. Elif mavi fincanını kaldırır, Anne gülerek “Bu senin fincanın,” der ve your kartını fincanın önüne koyar.

   Elif lifts her blue cup. Her mother laughs, 'This is your cup,' and puts the 'your' card in front of the cup.

7. Sonra yerde büyük, yumuşak bir battaniye bulurlar, ama “Bu kimin?” diye sorar Mehmet.

   Then they find a big, soft blanket on the ground, but Mehmet asks, "Whose is it?"

8. “Benim mi, senin mi?” diye düşünürler, ve kısa bir sessizlik olur.

   "Mine or yours?" they wonder, and there is a short silence.

9. Anne gülümser ve “Bu hepimizin, bu bizim aile battaniyemiz,” der; our kartını battaniyeye koyar.

   Mother smiles and says, "This is all ours; this is our family blanket," and puts the our card on the blanket.

10. Biz battaniyenin altında sıkıca sarılırız.

    We cuddle tightly under the blanket.

11. Mehmet aile fotoğrafına bakar ve we kartını fotoğrafın altına koyar.

    Mehmet looks at the family photo and puts his card under the photo.

12. Anne kollarını açar, “Anne bizi kucaklar,” der Mehmet gülerek, ve herkes hafifçe uykuya dalar.

    Mom opens her arms. 'Mom hugs us,' Mehmet says with a laugh, and everyone quietly drifts off to sleep.
