Bahçedeki Küçük Oyun

1. Akşamüstü apartman bahçesinde, Elif küçük bir oyun yapmak, dedesi Hasan'ı gülümsetmek istiyor.

   In the late afternoon in the apartment garden, Elif wants to play a little game and make her grandfather Hasan smile.

2. Elif, annesi Zeynep'le yere bir örtü seriyor.

   Elif spreads a blanket on the floor with her mother, Zeynep.

3. Yanlarına kuzeni Ege geliyor, komşuları Ayşe teyze de balkondan el sallıyor.

   Their cousin Ege comes to them, and their neighbor Aunt Ayşe waves from the balcony.

4. Hasan, bankta oturup torunu Elif'e sevgiyle bakıyor.

   Hasan is sitting on the bench and looking lovingly at his granddaughter Elif.

5. Elif, kartona yıldızlar çiziyor ve 'Bu bizim küçük sanat köşemiz,' diyor.

   Elif draws stars on the cardboard and says, 'This is our little art corner.'

6. Kendini bir oyuncu gibi hissediyor; sahnede rol yapmak ve herkesi neşelendirmek istiyor.

   He feels like an actor; he wants to act on stage and cheer everyone up.

   This plan is very nice.

8. Zeynep, 'Hazır mısınız?' diye soruyor.

   Zeynep asks, "Are you ready?"

   Elif and Ege start, but the wind blows the script away and Elif forgets a sentence.

    At that moment Aunt Ayşe puts down the tray and catches the paper.

    Hasan smiled and said, "Keep going, I am here."

    Elif takes a deep breath and makes up a little song instead of the forgotten sentence.

    Ege greets with a paper crown, Elif shows a star card, and everyone claps.

15. Zeynep, 'Bugün çok güzel oynadınız,' diyor ve sıcak çaylar dağıtıyor.

    Zeynep says, "You played very well today," and hands out hot tea.

16. Elif, 'Dedeciğim, mutlu musun?' diye fısıldıyor.

    Elif whispers, 'Grandpa, are you happy?'

17. Hasan başını sallayıp, 'Çok mutluyum, çünkü birlikteydik,' diyor.

    Hasan nods and says, "I am very happy because we were together."

18. Gökyüzü pembeleşiyor, apartman bahçesi sessizleşiyor, Elif kucakta uykuya dalıyor.

    The sky is turning pink, the apartment garden grows quiet, and Elif falls asleep in someone's lap.
