La entrada de las luces

  1. Valentina llega con su mamá Elena y su abuelo Luis a la plaza del pueblo.

    Valentina arrives at the town square with her mom Elena and her grandfather Luis.

  2. Quiere ver las linternas del festival y escuchar música.

    They want to see the festival lanterns and listen to music.

  3. El abuelo dice: "Primero vamos a buscar la entrada."

    Grandpa says, "First, let's find the entrance."

  4. En la esquina hay un cartel que apunta al centro de la ciudad, pero ellos solo necesitan el camino del festival.

    On the corner there's a sign pointing to the city center, but they only need directions to the festival.

  5. Valentina camina junto a la fuente y mira los letreros.

    Valentina walks by the fountain and looks at the signs.

  6. Un letrero dice "estación de tren", otro dice "camping", y otro señala el garaje de Don Pedro.

    A sign says "train station", another says "camping", and another points to Don Pedro's garage.

    "It's not that way," says Grandpa, "the entrance is in front of the square café."

    They walk slowly among lanterns and stalls, and Valentina takes a deep breath and calms down.

  13. Por fin ven un arco de luces y un letrero que dice "Entrada".

    At last they see an arch of lights and a sign that says 'Entrance'.

  14. Un voluntario les sonríe en la entrada y les da una pegatina.

    A volunteer smiles at them at the entrance and gives them a sticker.

  15. Dentro del festival, hay un rincón de cuentos para niños en un área tranquila.

    Inside the festival, there is a story corner for children in a quiet area.

  16. Valentina escucha una historia y se imagina trenes y ciudades, pero se alegra de estar en su pueblo.

    Valentina listens to a story and imagines trains and cities, but she is happy to be in her town.

  17. Después, la mamá dice: "Vamos al café de la plaza para un chocolate caliente."

    Then, the mom says, 'Let's go to the plaza café for a hot chocolate.'

  18. Se sientan frente al café, y la música llega suave desde la plaza.

    They sit in front of the café, and music comes softly from the square.

  19. Valentina mira la estación de tren en el mapa otra vez y ya no se siente perdida.

    Valentina looks at the train station on the map again and no longer feels lost.

  20. Ella bosteza, agradece al abuelo, y decide que mañana va a dibujar el camino por misma.

    She yawns, thanks her grandfather, and decides that tomorrow she will draw the path by herself.
