Story

Aquí está el cuento

1. Es de noche en la habitación de Leo, y Leo quiere leer un cuento antes de dormir.

   It's night in Leo's room, and Leo wants to read a story before sleeping.

2. Mamá Ana enciende la lámpara suave, y su gato Luna se acurruca en la cama.

   Mom Ana turns on the soft lamp, and her cat Luna curls up on the bed.

3. Hay muchos libros y juguetes en su mesa.

   There are many books and toys on their table.

4. Leo señala y dice: 'Quiero leer este libro'.

   Leo points and says, "I want to read this book."

5. Pero la lámpara tapa el título: el libro está delante de la lámpara.

   But the lamp covers the title: the book is in front of the lamp.

6. Leo se acerca y dice: 'Está aquí'.

   Leo comes closer and says, "It's here."

7. Mamá toma un libro y pregunta: '¿Es ese?'

   Mom picks up a book and asks, 'Is that it?'

8. Leo ríe y responde: 'No, ese no; quiero el de la luna'.

   Leo laughs and replies, "No, not that one; I want the moon one."

9. Ana mira otros y dice: 'Mira, estos cuentos son de animales'.

   Ana looks at others and says, "Look, these stories are about animals."

10. Y allá en la estantería alta están aquellos cuentos largos para el fin de semana.

    And over on the high shelf are those long stories for the weekend.

11. Por fin, Leo tiene el libro de la luna, lo abre, y mamá lee en voz baja.

    At last, Leo has the moon book, he opens it, and Mom reads quietly.

12. Luna cierra los ojos, Leo también, y todo queda tranquilo para soñar.

    Luna closes her eyes, Leo does too, and everything is quiet for dreaming.
