Paul und die Postkarte für Leo

1. Es ist Abend in Pauls Zimmer, und die kleine Lampe leuchtet warm.

   It's evening in Paul's room, and the small lamp glows warmly.

2. Paul will seinem Brieffreund Leo schreiben und ihm eine Postkarte schicken.

   Paul wants to write to his pen pal Leo and send him a postcard.

3. Er hat heute mit seiner digitalen Kamera ein fröhliches Foto gemacht.

   Today he took a cheerful photo with his digital camera.

4. Er legt das Foto neben den Umschlag auf den Schreibtisch.

   He puts the photo next to the envelope on the desk.

5. Doch er braucht noch eine Briefmarke und sucht seinen Geldbeutel.

   But he still needs a stamp and looks for his wallet.

6. Er findet ihn nicht und schaut zuerst unter der Zeitung.

   He doesn't find it and first looks under the newspaper.

7. Anna kommt herein und fragt leise, was ihm fehlt.

   Anna comes in and asks quietly what is wrong with him.

8. Sie schauen im Bücherregal und öffnen Pauls Notizbuch.

   They look on the bookshelf and open Paul's notebook.

9. Die Adresse steht dort, aber Paul will sie noch prüfen.

   The address is there, but Paul wants to check it again.

10. Er schaltet den PC an und öffnet die Klassen-Webseite.

    He turns on the PC and opens the class website.

11. Dort sieht er Leos Namen, und er ist froh, weil die Adresse gleich geblieben ist.

    There he sees Leo's name, and he is glad because the address has stayed the same.

12. "Super", sagt Anna und lächelt.

    "Great," says Anna, smiling.

13. Paul sucht weiter und hebt die Zeitung hoch; darunter liegt sein Geldbeutel.

    Paul keeps searching and lifts the newspaper; his wallet is underneath.

14. "Da bist du ja", sagt er und lacht leise.

    "There you are," he says, laughing softly.

15. Er schreibt die Karte, steckt sie vorsichtig in den Umschlag und klebt die Marke auf.

    He writes the card, carefully puts it in the envelope, and sticks the stamp on.

16. Dann räumt er die Kamera und das Notizbuch ordentlich zurück.

    Then he puts the camera and the notebook back neatly.

17. Paul macht das Licht aus, und Anna winkt ihm gute Nacht.

    Paul turns off the light, and Anna waves him good night.

18. "Morgen bringen wir sie zur Post", sagt Paul und fühlt sich ruhig.

    "We'll bring it to the post office tomorrow," Paul says, feeling calm.
