Lenas Reisebüro am Abend

1. Im warmen Wohnzimmer am Couchtisch sagt Lena: Heute spielen wir Reisebüro.

   In the warm living room at the coffee table Lena says, "Today we're playing travel agency."

2. Sie will üben, wie man bezahlt, weil sie morgen einen Ausflug plant.

   She wants to practice how to pay because she is planning a trip tomorrow.

3. Mama Anna und Papa Max lächeln und sagen: Wir helfen dir.

   Mom Anna and Dad Max smile and say, "We will help you."

4. Mama zeigt ihren driving licence und tut so, als wäre sie Kundin.

   Mom shows her driving licence and pretends to be a customer.

5. Papa holt seinen passport aus der Mappe und legt ihn neben den Teller.

   Dad takes his passport out of the folder and puts it next to the plate.

6. Lena legt eine alte bill auf den Tisch und schreibt freundlich den Namen darauf.

   Lena puts an old bill on the table and kindly writes the name on it.

7. Papa fragt, ob er mit der credit-card zahlen kann, oder lieber mit cash.

   Dad asks if he can pay with a credit card or if it's better to use cash.

8. In der Schublade liegt auch ein britischer cheque und daneben ein amerikanischer check.

   In the drawer there is also a British cheque and next to it an American check.

9. Lena lacht, denn diese Wörter sehen ähnlich aus, aber sie kommen aus zwei Ländern.

   Lena laughs because these words look similar, but they come from two countries.

10. Sie sagt: Wenn alles klappt, gibt es am Ende ein kleines prize für mich.

    She says: If everything works out, there will be a small prize for me at the end.

11. Das Geschenk liegt in einer kleinen Dose, doch der key ist verschwunden.

    The gift is in a small tin, but the key is missing.

12. Lena sucht unter dem Sofa und im Korb, aber sie findet ihn nicht, und sie macht die Dose nicht auf.

    Lena looks under the sofa and in the basket, but she doesn't find it, and she doesn't open the can.

13. Papa sagt, er kann helfen, weil seine Jacke noch im Flur hängt.

    Dad says he can help because his jacket is still hanging in the hall.

14. Er hat ihn nicht, aber er hat in der Tasche eine kleine penny gefunden.

    He doesn't have it, but he found a small penny in his pocket.

15. Dann ruft Mama: Hier ist der Schlüssel, ich habe ihn unter dem Buch gefunden!

    Then Mom calls, "Here is the key, I found it under the book!"

16. Lena macht die Dose auf und atmet ruhig.

    Lena opens the can and breathes calmly.

17. Sie kassiert freundlich, prüft die Daten, und alle sagen, dass sie das gut macht.

    She rings up customers kindly, checks the data, and everyone says she does it well.

18. Am Ende öffnet sie ein Päckchen und gewinnt das kleine Geschenk, und die Familie sitzt still und zufrieden zusammen.

    At the end she opens a small package and wins the little gift, and the family sits together quietly and contentedly.
