Pauls leise Geschichte

1. Es ist Abend in Pauls Zimmer.

   It is evening in Paul's room.

2. Paul sitzt am Bett und denkt: "Ich will noch lesen."

   Paul is sitting on the bed and thinks, "I want to read a bit longer."

3. Neben ihm liegt ein Buch mit bunten Bildern.

   A book with colorful pictures lies next to him.

4. Paul legt das Buch auf den Tisch am Fenster.

   Paul puts the book on the table by the window.

5. Er blättert auf eine Seite mit Sternen.

   He turns to a page with stars.

6. Die Geschichte beginnt leise und schön.

   The story begins quietly and nicely.

7. Ein leiser Wind kommt durch das offene Fenster, und die Seite flattert davon.

   A soft wind comes through the open window, and the page flutters away.

8. Paul ruft: "Oh nein, ich finde die richtige Seite nicht."

   Paul shouts, "Oh no, I can't find the right page."

9. Auf dem Tisch liegt jetzt nur loses Papier.

   Now there is only loose paper on the table.

10. Mama Anna kommt leise und sagt: "Komm, wir suchen zusammen."

    Mama Anna comes quietly and says, "Come, let's look together."

11. Sie lächelt, und Paul atmet ruhig, denn sein Körper ist müde.

    She smiles, and Paul breathes calmly because his body is tired.

12. Sie ordnen das Papier und finden wieder die richtige Stelle im Buch.

    They sort the papers and find the right place in the book again.

13. Paul kuschelt sich ins Bett und hält sein Buch fest.

    Paul snuggles into bed and holds his book tight.

14. Mama liest die Geschichte weiter, ganz langsam.

    Mom continues reading the story very slowly.

15. Bald kann er ruhig schlafen, und der Mond scheint durch das Fenster.

    Soon he can sleep peacefully, and the moon shines through the window.
