Hannas leises Lernspiel

1. Es ist Abend in Hannas Zimmer, und die kleine Lampe leuchtet warm.

   It's evening in Hanna's room, and the small lamp glows warmly.

2. Morgen gibt es in der Schule ein Quiz in Biologie.

   Tomorrow there's a biology quiz at school.

3. Hanna möchte später am College studieren und Medizin lernen.

   Hanna wants to go to college later and study medicine.

4. Dafür wünscht sie sich einen Abschluss.

   For that she wishes for a conclusion.

5. Doch heute Abend verwirren sie die Hausaufgaben in Mathematik.

   But tonight they get confused by the math homework.

6. Sie verwechselt Zahlen mit Zellen und seufzt.

   She confuses numbers with cells and sighs.

7. Mama Anna kommt herein, sie ist Chemikerin und lächelt.

   Mom Anna comes in; she is a chemist and smiles.

8. Sie fragt: Was brauchst du gerade?

   She asks: What do you need right now?

9. Hanna sagt, sie will einen kurzen Artikel über Frösche lesen, aber die Zahlen stören sie.

   Hanna says she wants to read a short article about frogs, but the numbers bother her.

10. Mama nickt und sagt, dass sie daraus ein Spiel machen können.

    Mom nods and says they can make a game out of it.

11. Sie setzen sich leise an den Schreibtisch und machen ein kleines Quiz.

    They sit down quietly at the desk and take a little quiz.

12. Mama fragt: Wie atmet ein Frosch?

    Mom asks, "How does a frog breathe?"

13. Hanna liest im Artikel und antwortet: Durch die Haut und durch die Lunge.

    Hanna reads the article and answers: Through the skin and through the lungs.

14. Dann verbindet Mama die Fächer und fragt: Wenn ein Frosch vier Beine hat, wie viele haben zwei Frösche?

    Then Mom links the compartments and asks, "If a frog has four legs, how many legs do two frogs have?"

15. Hanna zählt, rechnet die Aufgabe zu Ende und lächelt.

    Hanna counts, finishes the problem, and smiles.

16. Jetzt ist sie ruhiger, weil Mama ihr hilft.

    Now she is calmer because her mom helps her.

17. Zusammen schreiben sie einen kleinen Plan für morgen und legen die Stifte ordentlich hin.

    Together they write a small plan for tomorrow and put the pens away neatly.

18. Hanna sagt leise: Ich kann das.

    Hanna says softly: I can do it.

19. Sie hat den Artikel gelesen und die Hausaufgaben beendet.

    She read the article and finished the homework.

20. Sie legt das Heft neben einen Papierstern mit dem Wort „College“ und schläft ein.

    She puts the notebook next to a paper star that says College and falls asleep.
