Lenas Abend in der Küche

1. Es ist Abend.

   It is evening.

2. Lena möchte heute mit ihrem Bruder Max für Mama kochen.

   Lena wants to cook for Mom today with her brother Max.

3. Lena sagt: "Wir können das zusammen machen."

   Lena says, "We can do that together."

4. In der kleinen Küche holt Lena den Topf aus dem Schrank.

   In the small kitchen Lena takes the pot out of the cupboard.

5. Auf dem Tisch stehen Salz, Pfeffer und Öl.

   There is salt, pepper and oil on the table.

6. Max findet auch Knoblauch und ein kleines Glas Curry.

   Max also finds garlic and a small jar of curry.

7. "Wir kochen Reis und braten Gemüse", sagt Lena.

   "We'll cook rice and fry some vegetables," says Lena.

8. Dann merkt sie, dass das Salz fast leer ist, weil sie gestern Suppe gekocht hat.

9. Kurz darauf sagt Max lächelnd: "Ich habe Salz geholt".

10. Mama dreht den Herd an, und eine kleine Flamme brennt.

11. "Das ist kein großes Feuer", sagt sie ruhig.

12. Sie erklärt, dass man mit dem Topf sicher kocht, wenn die Flamme klein bleibt.

13. Lena gießt vorsichtig etwas Öl in die Pfanne und rührt langsam.
