Le petit but de Lucas

  1. Dans le petit parc près de la maison, Lucas est content.

    In the small park near the house, Lucas is happy.

  2. Il veut jouer à un jeu calme avant le dîner.

    He wants to play a quiet game before dinner.

  3. Il aime le sport, surtout le football.

    He likes sports, especially football.

  4. Papa Marc sourit et dit: "Nous allons faire un exercice simple."

    Dad Marc smiles and says, 'We will do a simple exercise.'

  5. Ils marchent en rond pour une petite marche et respirent lentement.

    They circle around for a short walk and breathe slowly.

  6. Puis Papa montre comment s'entraîner avec le ballon, près du même banc.

    Then Dad shows how to practice with the ball near the same bench.

  7. "On va répéter les petites passes," dit-il doucement.

    "We'll practice the little passes," he says softly.

  8. Lucas joue avec Emma, mais le ballon roule sous le banc et reste coincé.

    Lucas plays with Emma, but the ball rolls under the bench and gets stuck.

  9. Lucas soupire, et ses épaules tombent un peu.

    Lucas sighs, and his shoulders drop a little.

  10. Emma se penche, mais sa main est trop courte.

    Emma leans over, but her hand is too short.

  11. Papa s'allonge au sol et tire le ballon vers lui avec soin.

    Dad lies on the floor and pulls the ball toward him carefully.

  12. "Ça va," dit-il, "on garde le calme, et on continue."

    "It's okay," he says, "we stay calm and keep going."

  13. Papa place deux feuilles comme un but, juste en face.

    Dad places two sheets like a goal, right in front.

  14. "Lucas, tu respires, tu regardes, et tu tires doucement," dit Papa.

    "Lucas, you breathe, you look, and you pull gently," says Dad.

  15. Lucas frappe doucement; la balle glisse et touche les feuilles: petit but!

    Lucas taps gently; the ball slides and hits the leaves: little goal!

  16. Emma et Papa applaudissent, et Lucas sourit fort.

    Emma and Dad clap, and Lucas smiles a lot.

  17. Ils s'assoient tous sur le banc, boivent de l'eau, et écoutent le vent.

    They all sit on the bench, drink water, and listen to the wind.

  18. La nuit arrive; ils rangent le ballon et rentrent la tête pleine de joie.

    Night is coming; they put the ball away and go home full of joy.
