La carte du soir de Hugo

1. Ce soir, Hugo veut écrire à sa correspondante, Maya, pour son anniversaire.

4. Hugo dit qu'il veut envoyer une carte postale avec une image du soir calme.

   He takes his small camera and adjusts the focus gently.

6. Claire pose la lampe plus près, parce que la lumière de la fenêtre est faible.

   Claire puts the lamp closer because the window light is weak.

7. Ensuite, Hugo allume son PC et ouvre la page web de Maya pour vérifier l'adresse.

   Then, Hugo turns on his PC and opens Maya's web page to check the address.

8. Elle est bien là, sous sa photo de vacances.

    He looked in the drawer and under the bed, but he couldn't find it.

13. Sur l'étagère, il y a un journal plié à côté des livres.

    On the shelf, there is a folded newspaper next to the books.

14. Hugo soulève le journal, et le portefeuille est là, caché derrière, et il sourit de soulagement.

    Hugo lifts the newspaper, and the wallet is there, hidden behind it, and he smiles with relief.

15. Claire dit qu'ils vont poster la carte demain, et elle colle le timbre.

    Claire says they will mail the card tomorrow, and she puts the stamp on.
