Story

Luuk en de weg door het huis

1. Het is avond in het huis van Luuk, en hij wil aardbeien plukken in de tuin.

   It's evening at Luuk's house, and he wants to pick strawberries in the garden.

2. Hij pakt een kleine mand en loopt naar buiten.

   He takes a small basket and walks outside.

3. Er zijn veel rode aardbeien tussen het groene blad.

   There are many red strawberries among the green leaves.

4. Mama wacht in de keuken met een glimlach.

   Mom waits in the kitchen with a smile.

5. Luuk zet de mand op de tafel in de keuken en wast de bessen.

   Luuk puts the basket on the table in the kitchen and washes the berries.

6. “Waar leggen we ze straks neer?” vraagt Luuk, en Mama zegt dat het op de tafel in de eetkamer kan.

   "Where will we put them later?" Luuk asks, and Mama says they can go on the table in the dining room.

7. Luuk zoekt een kom, maar hij kan die niet vinden.

   Luuk looks for a bowl, but he can't find it.

8. “Waar is mijn blauwe kom?” vraagt hij.

   "Where is my blue bowl?" he asks.

9. Hij kijkt onder de tafel en naast de stoel, en dan wijst Mama naar de kast.

   He looks under the table and next to the chair, and then Mama points to the cupboard.

10. In de kast staat een schone, grote kom, en Mama zegt dat ze samen de bessen kunnen dragen naar de eetkamer.

    In the cupboard there is a clean, large bowl, and Mom says they can carry the berries together to the dining room.

11. Er is al een kaars aan op de tafel in de eetkamer, en het wordt gezellig.

    There is already a candle burning on the dining table, and it's getting cozy.

12. Luuk en zijn zus Sara zetten de kom neer en tellen zachtjes samen: één, twee, drie.

13. Na het fruit zegt Mama: “Tijd voor de badkamer en daarna bed.”

14. Het bad is warm en het water ruikt naar zeep, en Luuk voelt zich rustig.

15. Hij kruipt daarna in bed en fluistert dat het huis met keuken, eetkamer en tuin hem helpt, en hij valt blij in slaap.

    He then climbs into bed, whispers that the house with a kitchen, dining room and garden helps him, and falls asleep happily.
