Story

Finns kleine woordkaartjes

1. Het is bedtijd in Finns kamer.

   It's bedtime in Finn's room.

2. Finn zit op zijn bed en leest kleine Engelse kaartjes.

   Finn sits on his bed and reads small English cards.

3. Op het dekbed ligt een kaartje met "the".

   On the duvet is a card with 'the'.

4. Mila komt binnen en fluistert: "Wat oefen je?".

   Mila comes in and whispers, "What are you practicing?"

5. Finn wijst en zegt zacht: "on".

   Finn points and says softly, "on".

6. Ernaast ligt ook een klein kaartje met "i".

   Beside it is also a small card with 'i'.

7. Finn fronst en zegt: "Ik weet het even niet".

   Finn frowns and says, 'I don't know right now.'

8. Het losse kaartje met "for" wiebelt bij de rand van het bed.

   The loose tag with 'for' wobbles at the edge of the bed.

9. Mila lacht en zegt: "Geen paniek, we maken er een rustig spel van."

   Mila laughs and says, 'Don't worry, we'll make it a calm game.'

10. Ze legt "on" op de teddybeer en knikt.

11. Dan tilt ze een klein tekeningetje op en schuift het kaartje "for" naar Finn: "Dat is voor jou," fluistert ze.

    Then she picks up a small drawing and slides the card "for" to Finn. "That's for you," she whispers.

12. Finn pakt het kaartje met "no" en schudt zijn hoofd met een glimlach.

    Finn picks up the card with "no" and shakes his head with a smile.

13. Ten slotte houdt hij "answer" omhoog en fluistert: "Nu weet ik het antwoord, en nu slaap ik fijn."

    Finally he holds up "answer" and whispers, "Now I know the answer, and now I'll sleep well."
