Lotte en de Kalender aan de Keukentafel

1. Lotte zit aan de keukentafel en kijkt naar de grote kalender aan de muur.

   Lotte sits at the kitchen table and looks at the big calendar on the wall.

2. Ze wil het boodschappenplan maken, zodat alles rustig gaat.

   She wants to make the shopping plan so everything goes smoothly.

3. Mama legt uit dat de boerenmarkt maandelijks op de eerste zaterdag is.

   Mom explains that the farmers' market is on the first Saturday of every month.

4. Papa lacht en zegt dat het vandaag zaterdag is.

   Dad laughs and says it's Saturday today.

5. Lotte stelt voor om rond het middaguur te gaan en tekent een klein zonnetje op de dag.

   Lotte suggests going around noon and draws a small sun on the day.

6. Ze schrijft ook: brood en melk, voor wat we dagelijks nodig hebben.

   She also writes: bread and milk, for what we need every day.

7. Maar Mama wijst op de kleine lettertjes en zucht, want deze week is het nog niet de eerste van de maand.

   But Mom points to the small print and sighs, because this week it's not the first of the month yet.

8. Lotte fronst en denkt even dat het toch al kan, maar het is niet zo.

   Lotte frowns and for a moment thinks it might already work, but it doesn't.

9. Papa zegt dat ze wel naar de supermarkt kunnen gaan, en dat ze volgende week naar de markt gaan.

   Dad says they can go to the supermarket, and that they will go to the market next week.

10. Lotte knikt en plant een wachtmoment; ze zet een klokje: over een vertrekken ze.

    Lotte nods and plans to wait; she sets a little timer: they'll leave in an hour.

11. Ze bladert door de kalender en maakt plannen voor later in het jaar.

    She flips through the calendar and makes plans for later in the year.

12. In juli wil ze aardbeien kopen, in september appels, in december koekjes, en in februari soepgroente.

    In July she wants to buy strawberries, in September apples, in December cookies, and in February vegetables for soup.

13. Ze tekent bij elk plan een klein mandje en voelt zich rustig, omdat alles nu duidelijk staat.

    She draws a small basket next to each plan and feels calm, because everything is clear now.

14. Mama zegt dat ze volgende week op tijd zullen zijn, want de lijst en de tas liggen al klaar.

    Mom says they'll be on time next week because the list and the bag are already ready.

15. Papa legt de tas naast de deur en stelt voor om nu thuis te blijven en iets lekkers te maken.

    Dad puts the bag next to the door and suggests staying home now to make something tasty.

16. In plaats van weg te gaan zetten ze thee en smeren ze brood met wat er nog is.

    Instead of leaving, they make tea and spread what is left on the bread.

17. Lotte kijkt nog één keer naar de kalender en glimlacht om haar vaste plan.

    Lotte looks at the calendar one more time and smiles at her usual plan.

18. Met een rustig gevoel valt ze in slaap, blij met hun schema voor nu en later.
