Emma tekent de klas

1. Het is rustig in het klaslokaal na school.

   It's quiet in the classroom after school.

2. Emma wil een tekening maken van de klas, zodat nieuwe kinderen morgen de weg vinden.

   Emma wants to make a drawing of the classroom so new children can find their way tomorrow.

3. Ze tekent eerst de grote kamer van de school.

   She draws the school's big room first.

4. "Waar is het raam?" vraagt Tom zacht.

   "Where is the window?" Tom asks softly.

5. Noor wijst en zegt: "Er is een hoog raam bij de lange muur."

   Noor points and says, 'There's a high window by the long wall.'

6. Het licht valt op de gladde vloer, en Emma tekent de glans.

   The light falls on the smooth floor, and Emma draws the shine.

7. Emma wil de deur tekenen, maar bij de deur staat een zware doos in de weg.

   Emma wants to draw the door, but there is a heavy box in the way.

8. Ze kan de doos niet tillen, en ze fronst even.

   She can't lift the box, and she frowns for a moment.

9. Tom zet zijn handen tegen de doos en duwt langzaam.

   Tom puts his hands against the box and pushes slowly.

    They gently slide the box aside on the floor.

    Noor nods proudly and says that it is almost ready.

14. Emma rolt het papier op en fluistert welterusten naar het stille lokaal.
