Para el próximo año, los smartphones serán reemplazados por modelos más nuevos. La tecnología avanza tan rápido que es difícil mantenerse al día.

By next year, smartphones will be replaced by newer models. Technology moves so fast it's hard to keep up.

La nevera está siendo limpiada por el técnico. Dijo que el sistema de enfriamiento necesitaba mantenimiento urgente.

The fridge is being cleaned by the technician. He said the cooling system needed urgent maintenance.

Bien. Las neveras modernas tienen tantas funciones electrónicas que casi parecen computadoras.

Good. Modern refrigerators have so many electronic features that they almost seem like computers.

Cierto. Mi nuevo microondas hasta se conecta a internet. Puedo encenderlo desde mi smartphone antes de llegar a casa.

True. My new microwave even connects to the internet. I can turn it on from my smartphone before I get home.

Eso suena asombroso y un poco excesivo. A veces las máquinas más simples son mejores.

That sounds amazing and a bit over the top. Sometimes simpler machines are better.

Quizás tengas razón. He estado considerando reemplazar mi lavavajillas también, pero el viejo todavía funciona perfectamente.

Maybe you're right. I've been thinking of replacing my dishwasher too, but the old one still works perfectly.

If it works, keep it. I've learned that newer isn't always better when it comes to technology.
