   Estaban navegando por el mar cuando empezó a llover con fuerza. El capitán dirigió el barco hacia el puerto inmediatamente.

   They were sailing when it started to rain heavily. The captain steered the boat to the port immediately.

2. Sofía
   El río se inundaba rápidamente después de la tormenta. Tuvimos que dejar la cabaña en pocos minutos.

   The river flooded quickly after the storm. We had to leave the cabin in a few minutes.

3. Carlos
   Mi corazón latía con fuerza cuando vi los resultados del análisis médico. Por suerte el médico dijo que todo estaba bien.

   My heart was pounding when I saw the medical test results. Luckily the doctor said everything was fine.

   Eso debió de ser aterrador. Yo habría estado completamente ansiosa en tu lugar.

   That must have been terrifying. I would have been completely anxious in your place.

5. Carlos
   Lo estuve, pero mi pareja me mantuvo en calma. Ha sido tan comprensivo durante toda esta experiencia.

   I was, but my partner kept me calm. They have been so understanding during this whole experience.

6. Sofía
   Es una persona maravillosa. Por cierto, ¿oíste lo del accidente de escalada del fin de semana pasado?

   They're a wonderful person. By the way, did you hear about the climbing accident last weekend?

7. Carlos
   Sí, el escalador cayó desde un acantilado alto. Afortunadamente el equipo de emergencia lo rescató rápidamente.

   Yes, the climber fell from a high cliff. Fortunately the emergency team rescued him quickly.

8. Sofía
   Eso tranquiliza. La escalada de montaña es peligrosa sin entrenamiento adecuado y equipo.

   That's reassuring. Mountain climbing is dangerous without proper training and equipment.

9. Carlos
   Cierto. He estado pensando en hacer un curso antes de mi viaje de senderismo el próximo verano. La seguridad primero.

   That's true. I've been thinking of taking a course before my hiking trip next summer. Safety first.

10. Sofía
    Brillante idea. El instructor del centro deportivo es excelente con los principiantes.

    Great idea. The instructor at the sports center is excellent with beginners.

11. Carlos
    Quizás llame mañana para inscribirme. La aventura es maravillosa, pero solo cuando estás preparado.

    Maybe I'll call tomorrow to sign up. Adventure is wonderful, but only when you're prepared.
