Lily Checks the Facts

1. It is morning in Lily's classroom.

   Het is ochtend in Lily's klas.

2. Lily wants to get the right mark in a small quiz.

   Lily wil het juiste cijfer halen in een kleine toets.

3. Ms. Anna holds a red card and smiles.

   Mevrouw Anna houdt een rood kaartje vast en glimlacht.

4. There is a big question on the board.

   Er staat een grote vraag op het bord.

5. Lily sits with her friend Tom, and they listen.

   Lily zit met haar vriend Tom en ze luisteren.

6. "What is the first question?" Lily whispers.

   "Wat is de eerste vraag?" fluistert Lily.

7. The sentence says, "An apple on the desk is red," and Lily writes her answer on a small paper.

   De zin zegt: "Een appel op het bureau is rood," en Lily schrijft haar antwoord op een klein papiertje.

8. She is not sure, so she asks, "Is this right?"

   Ze is niet zeker, dus vraagt ze: 'Is dit goed?'

9. Tom looks at the desk and nods, "It is true."
