Verhaal

Regenavontuur in de woonkamer

1. Het regent hard tegen het raam in de woonkamer, en Bram trekt het gordijn een beetje opzij.

   It is raining hard against the living room window, and Bram pulls the curtain aside a little.

2. Hij wil buiten in plassen stampen, maar er is een onweersbui.

   He wants to stomp in puddles outside, but there is a thunderstorm.

3. Noor zit naast hem op de bank, en ze zegt dat ze samen iets gezelligs kunnen doen binnen.

   Noor sits next to him on the couch, and she says they can do something nice together inside.

4. Mama komt met een gele regenjas uit de gang en legt die op de stoel.

   Mom comes out of the hallway with a yellow raincoat and puts it on the chair.

5. Ze pakt ook een grote paraplu, maar ze zegt dat ze nu niet naar buiten mogen, omdat het bliksemt en dondert.

   She also takes a big umbrella, but she says they must not go outside now because there's lightning and thunder.

6. Wanneer de donder rolt, knijpt Bram in het kussen, maar Noor pakt zijn hand.

   When the thunder rumbles, Bram squeezes the pillow, but Noor takes his hand.

7. Noor bouwt een knus tentje met kussens, en het gordijn hangt erbij als wand.

   Noor builds a cozy tent with cushions, and the curtain hangs there like a wall.

8. Bram spreidt een zachte handdoek op het kleed om droog te zitten.

   Bram spreads a soft towel on the rug so he can sit dry.

9. Hij vindt één warme handschoen in de mand en doet die aan, alsof hij een ontdekkingsreiziger is.

   He finds one warm glove in the basket and puts it on as if he is an explorer.

10. Mama zet warme thee neer, en ze brengt een groot boek over het regenwoud.

    Mama sets down warm tea and brings a big book about the rainforest.

11. Bram en Noor kruipen onder het tentje en bladeren rustig door de plaatjes.

    Bram and Noor crawl under the little tent and quietly look through the pictures.

12. De kamer voelt veilig, want de regen tikt zacht, en de bank is hun boot.

    The room feels safe because the rain taps softly, and the sofa is their boat.

13. Ze doen alsof ze lopen door modder rond de salontafel, maar ze blijven op het kleed.

    They pretend they're walking through mud around the coffee table, but they stay on the rug.

14. Als de donder weer bromt, tellen ze samen tot tien, en dan lachen ze.

    When the thunder rumbles again, they count to ten together, and then they laugh.

15. Bram houdt de paraplu vast als stuur, en de regenjas is nu zijn kapiteinsjas.

    Bram holds the umbrella like a steering wheel, and the raincoat is now his captain's jacket.

16. De donder wordt zachter, en de lucht lijkt lichter achter het raam.

    The thunder gets softer, and the sky looks lighter outside the window.

17. Mama zegt dat ze later misschien even naar het balkon kunnen, maar alleen als het veilig is.

    Mom says they might go to the balcony later, but only if it's safe.

18. Bram geeuwt, sluit het tentje, en fluistert dat de dag nat klinkt, maar toch een fijn avontuur is.

    Bram yawns, closes the little tent, and whispers that the day sounded wet but was still a nice adventure.
