Story

Mehmet'in İlk Uçuş Günü

1. Mehmet ilk için çok heyecanlıydı.

   Mehmet was very excited about the first one.

2. Büyük salonunda annesi Ayşe ile tabelalara bakıyor ve derin nefes alıyor.

   In the large living room, they look at the signs with their mother Ayşe and take deep breaths.

3. Bugün her şey ona küçük bir gibi geliyordu.

   Today everything seemed small to them.

4. Ayşe, "Asansör nerede?" diye sordu.

   Ayşe asked, 'Where is the elevator?'

5. "Az önce bir ile geldik, şimdi üst kata çıkalım," dedi Ayşe ve parlak kapısına yürüdüler.

   'We just arrived, now let's go upstairs,' Ayşe said, and they walked to her bright door.

6. Küçük yanlarındaydı, çünkü içinde oyuncak ayı da vardı.

   The small one was beside them because it had a teddy bear inside.

7. Camdan aşağıda uzanan uzun hattını gördüler ve trenler tıpkı küçük karıncalar gibi ilerliyordu.

   They saw a long line stretching below from the window, and the trains were moving like little ants.

8. Uçuşları için "B" numaralı arıyorlardı.

   They were calling the number 'B' for their flights.

9. "Bulunca oturur ve dinleniriz, çünkü zamanımız var," dedi Ayşe.

   "When we find it, we'll sit and rest because we have time," said Ayşe.

10. Lacivert üniformalı güler yüzlü bir yanlarından geçti ve "İyi uçuşlar!" dedi.

    A smiling person in a navy uniform passed by them and said, "Have a good flight!"

11. Mehmet el salladı ve "Pencerede oturacak mıyım?" diye sordu.

    Mehmet waved and asked, 'Will I sit by the window?'.

12. "Evet, cam kenarı senin," dedi Ayşe ve elini Mehmet'in omzuna koydu.

    "Yes, the window seat is yours," said Ayşe and she put her hand on Mehmet's shoulder.

13. Tam asansöre bineceklerken, yaşlı bir amca sendeledi ve bastonunu düşürdü.

    Just as they were about to get on the elevator, an old man stumbled and dropped his cane.

14. Görevli Elif hızla geliyor, telsizle yardım istiyor ve bir ilk yardım çantasını açıyor.

    Attendant Elif comes quickly, calls for help on the radio, and opens a first aid kit.

15. "Korkma, yardım ediyorlar, çünkü burası güvenli," diye fısıldadı Ayşe.

    "Don't be afraid, they're helping, because this place is safe," Ayşe whispered.

16. Amca su içti, teşekkür etti ve "İyiyim artık," dedi; herkes rahatladı.

    Uncle drank water, thanked them, and said, 'I'm fine now.' Everyone relaxed.

17. Elif gülümsedi ve "Artık kapınıza gidebilirsiniz," dedi; onlar da B kapısına doğru yürüdü ve beklemeye başladı.

    Elif smiled and said, 'You can go to your door now.' They walked to door B and began to wait.

18. Mehmet annesinin omzuna başını koydu, trenlere ve uçaklara baktı ve "Birlikte olunca her yol güvenli," diye fısıldadı.

    Mehmet rested his head on his mother's shoulder, looked at the trains and planes, and whispered, 'When we're together, every road is safe.'
