1. Gece, Mehmet yatağında oturur.

   At night, Mehmet sits on his bed.

2. O saati söylemek ister.

   He wants to tell the time.

3. Duvarda bir saat var.

   There is a clock on the wall.

4. Saat tık tık eder ve oda sakindir.

   The clock goes tick-tock and the room is calm.

5. Mehmet fısıldar: 'Saat kaç?'

   Mehmet whispers, 'What time is it?'.

6. O sorar: 'Saat sekiz mi?'

   He asks, 'Is it eight o'clock?'

7. Anne Elif gelir ve gülümser.

   Mother Elif comes in and smiles.

8. Anne der: 'Kısa kol sekizi gösteriyor, uzun kol on ikide.'

   Mother says, 'The short hand is at eight, the long hand is at twelve.'

9. Ayşe gülerek sorar: 'Sen de okuyabilir misin?'

   Ayşe asks with a laugh, "Can you read too?"

10. Mehmet başını sallar ve der: 'Evet, okuyabilirim.'

    Mehmet shakes his head and says, 'Yes, I can read.'

11. O yüksek sesle söyler: 'Saat sekiz.'

    He says aloud, 'It's eight o'clock.'

12. Anne kitabı açar ve kısa bir masal okur.

    Mother opens the book and reads a short story.

13. Mehmet rahatlar ve yavaşça uyur.

    Mehmet relaxes and slowly falls asleep.
