Elif’in Sıcak Akşam Masalı

1. Akşamdır, salon sessiz ve sıcaktır.

   It is evening; the living room is quiet and warm.

2. Elif, küçük kız kardeşi Zeynep'e masal okumak ister.

   Elif wants to read a story to her little sister, Zeynep.

3. Bizim ev küçüktür ama rahattır; bu akşam aile bir aradadır.

   Our house is small but comfortable; the family is together this evening.

4. Masada bir kitap var, ama Elif'in aradığı masal değildir.

   There is a book on the table, but it is not the fairy tale Elif is looking for.

5. Baba Ahmet bakar ve, 'Nerede acaba?' diye fısıldar.

   Dad Ahmet looks and whispers, 'Where could it be?'

6. Elif'in küçük bir el feneri var ve masanın üstünde ışık tutar.

   Elif has a small flashlight and shines it on the table.

7. Kapı hafifçe çalar.

   Someone knocks lightly at the door.

8. Komşu Ali, Elif'in arkadaşı ve masal kitabını getirir.

   Neighbor Ali is Elif's friend and brings the storybook.

9. Elif okur, Zeynep dinler ve yavaşça gülümser.

   Elif reads, Zeynep listens and smiles slowly.

10. Herkes kanepeye yaklaşır; Ahmet ışığı kısar ve oda daha da sakin olur.

    Everyone moves to the couch; Ahmet dims the light and the room becomes even quieter.

11. Elif fısıldar: 'Burası bizim yuvamız.'

    Elif whispers, 'This is our home.'

12. Zeynep Elif'e sokulur ve birlikte uykuya dalarlar.

    Zeynep cuddles up to Elif and they fall asleep together.
