Story

Ali'nin Gece Saati

1. Şimdi Ali, küçük saat yapbozunu tamamlamak ister.

   Now Ali wants to finish the little clock puzzle.

2. Annesi Elif ve kardeşi Ayşe yanında oturur.

   His mother Elif and his sister Ayşe sit beside him.

3. Ali'nin bir yıldız resmi var.

   Ali has a picture of a star.

4. Ali sorar, “Bu küçük saati nereye koyayım?”

   Ali asks, 'Where should I put this small clock?'

5. Elif duvarın üstüne bakar ve “now” diye fısıldar, uyku yakındır.

   Elif looks up at the wall and whispers “now.” Sleep is near.

6. Ali kutuyu biraz iter ve küçük bir ses çıkar; “excuse” der ve gülümser.

   Ali pushes the box a little and a small noise comes out; he says 'excuse' and smiles.

7. Ayşe başını sallar, “yes” der ve saatin parçasını Ali’ye verir.

   Ayşe nods, says "yes," and gives the clock part to Ali.

8. Elif, “Yavaşça koy, Ali” der ve “okay” diye ekler.

   Elif says, 'Put it down slowly, Ali,' and adds, 'Okay.'

9. Ali bir an durur ve sağ mı sol mu doğru, diye düşünür; Elif gülümser ve “right” diyerek sağ tarafı işaret eder.

   Ali pauses for a moment and wonders whether right or left is correct; Elif smiles and says 'right,' pointing to the right.

10. Ali parçayı duvara, yıldız resmin yanına yerleştirir ve yerine oturur.

    Ali places the piece on the wall, beside the star picture, and it fits into place.

11. Ayşe alkışlar ve “easy” der, herkes rahatlar.

    Ayşe claps and says "easy", and everyone relaxes.

12. Ali saati sever, ışık kısılır ve uyku gelir.

    Ali likes the clock, the light dims, and he feels sleepy.
