Zeynep ve Yaşlı Genç Kalpler

1. Akşam, Zeynep annesi Ayşe ve dedesi Kemal ile aynı salonda oturur.

   In the evening, Zeynep sits in the same living room with her mother Ayşe and her grandfather Kemal.

2. Biz salondayız.

   We are in the living room.

3. Zeynep, yaşları ve büyümeyi merak eder.

   Zeynep wonders about ages and growing up.

4. Ayşe, eski albümü açar ve gülümser.

   Ayşe opens the old album and smiles.

5. Fotoğrafta genç Kemal vardır; Ayşe, "Bu resimde dede çok genç, yani young," der.

   Young Kemal is in the photo; Ayşe says, 'Grandpa is very young in this picture, I mean young.'

6. Zeynep fısıldar: "İnsan ne zaman yaşlı, yani old, olur?"

   Zeynep whispers, 'When is a person old?'

7. Ayşe, "Yaş sadece bir sayı; sevgi değişmez," diye yanıtlar.

   Ayşe replies, 'Age is just a number; love doesn't change.'

8. Zeynep kartına bir kalp çizer ve "Kırmızı olsun," der; kırmızı, red olur.

   Zeynep draws a heart on her card and says, "Let it be red." "Kırmızı" means "red."

9. "Dede'me ne yazsam doğru olur, correct mu?" diye sorar.

   "What should I write to my grandpa, would that be correct?" she asks.

10. Ayşe gülümser: "Nazik ol; 'Canım Dedem' yaz," der.

    Ayşe smiles and says, 'Be kind; write "Dear Grandpa."'

11. "Bak, burası bizim apartman dairemiz; İngilizcede buna 'flat' denir," diye açıklar.

    She explains, 'Look, this is our apartment; in English it's called a "flat."'

12. Zeynep evi de çizer ve altına "Birlikte büyümek harika, awesome!" yazar.

    Zeynep draws the house too and writes underneath, 'Growing up together is wonderful, awesome!'

13. Kart biter; Zeynep yazısını kontrol eder, "Bu cümle nazik ve doğru mu?" diye yine sorar.

    The card is finished; Zeynep checks her writing and again asks, "Is this sentence polite and correct?"

14. Ayşe başını sallar ve "Evet, çok nazik ve doğru," der; Zeynep rahatlar.

    Ayşe nods and says, "Yes, that's very kind and right." Zeynep relaxes.

15. Kemal Dede kartı okur, gülümser, "Seninle her yaş güzel," der.

    Grandpa Kemal reads the card, smiles, and says, "Every age is beautiful with you."

16. Zeynep annesinin yanında uykuya dalar ve ertesi gün için tatlı bir dilek tutar.

    Zeynep falls asleep next to her mother and makes a sweet wish for the next day.
