Story

Un viaje en la habitación

1. Carmen está en su habitación con su mamá Ana.

   Carmen is in her room with her mom Ana.

2. Quiere aprender palabras de lugares y naturaleza para mañana.

   She wants to learn words for places and nature for tomorrow.

3. Afuera, hay lluvia, y no vamos al parque.

   Outside, it's raining, and we don't go to the park.

4. Carmen mira por la ventana y escucha el agua.

   Carmen looks out the window and listens to the water.

5. En el marco hay una flor en maceta, y Carmen dice: 'Es bonita'.

   In the frame there's a potted flower, and Carmen says, 'It's pretty.'

6. Lejos, la montaña se ve gris; Carmen está tranquila.

   Far away, the mountain looks gray; Carmen is calm.

7. Ana sonríe y dice: 'Podemos viajar aquí, con la voz y con dibujos'.

   Ana smiles and says, "We can travel here, with voice and drawings."

8. Carmen abre la puerta un poco y saluda al pasillo, pero vuelve y se sienta.

   Carmen opens the door a little and says hello to the hall, but then she comes back and sits down.

9. Ella hace un pequeño mapa en papel y practica: 'Yo voy, tú vas, nosotros vamos'.

   She makes a small map on paper and practices: "I go, you go, we go."

10. Con su tren de juguete, imagina un viaje por la habitación y por la naturaleza que ve.

    With his toy train, he imagines a trip around the room and through the nature he sees.

11. El tren pasa junto a la ventana y Carmen dice: 'Primera parada: la flor', y luego mira la montaña por el vidrio.

    The train passes by the window and Carmen says, "First stop: the flower," then she looks at the mountain through the glass.

12. Al final, Carmen está lista y feliz; cierra los ojos, escucha la lluvia suave, y duerme.

    In the end, Carmen is ready and happy; she closes her eyes, listens to the soft rain, and sleeps.
