La estrella del café

1. En la cafetería del barrio, Valentina mira una cartulina amarilla sobre la mesa.

   In the neighborhood café, Valentina looks at a yellow card on the table.

2. Quiere hacer una estrella para decir gracias a la gente de su día.

   They want to make a star to say thank you to the people from their day.

3. Su mamá, Lucía, es una trabajadora del centro cultural.

4. Diego, el camarero del lugar, le acerca cinta y una silla porque quiere ayudar.

   Diego, the waiter there, brings him tape and a chair because he wants to help.

5. Entra Tomás, un mecánico con manos manchadas de grasa, y saluda.

   Tomás comes in, a mechanic with grease-stained hands, and says hello.

6. Con él viene Ana, una compradora con bolsas de pan, y también es su esposa.

   With him comes Ana, a shopper with bags of bread, and she is also his wife.

7. Sofía, una fotógrafa invitada a la merienda, coloca su cámara en la mesa.

   Sofía, a photographer invited to the snack, puts her camera on the table.

8. Leo, un joven futbolista con botas limpias, bebe agua y espera.

   Leo, a young soccer player with clean boots, drinks water and waits.

9. Llega Álvaro, un empresario tranquilo; hoy es un cliente habitual que lee en la esquina.

   Álvaro arrives, a calm businessman; today he is a regular customer reading on the corner.

10. Valentina va a colgar la estrella sobre la pared, junto al reloj.

    Valentina is going to hang the star on the wall, next to the clock.

11. Pero la cinta no pega bien y la estrella se cae al suelo.

    But the tape doesn't stick well and the star falls to the floor.

12. Valentina frunce el ceño y suspira, y el café queda muy callado un momento.
