Cerca y lejos en el jardín

1. Diego y Ana juegan en el jardín de su casa al atardecer.

   Diego and Ana play in their home's garden at sunset.

2. Hay una luciérnaga que brilla sobre el pasto.

   There is a firefly shining over the grass.

3. La luz es pequeña y es un punto dorado.

   The light is small and is a golden dot.

4. Papá, en el porche, enseña un juego y dice: 'near' cuando Ana está a su lado, y dice: 'far' cuando ella se aleja.

   Dad, on the porch, teaches a game and says "near" when Ana is beside him, and says "far" when she moves away.

5. Diego camina hacia Ana en el césped.

   Diego walks over to Ana on the grass.

6. De pronto, la luciérnaga se mueve y Diego no sabe por dónde ir, y el árbol tapa un poco el camino.

   Suddenly, the firefly moves and Diego doesn't know which way to go, and the tree partly blocks the path.

7. Papá ríe suave y dice: 'left', y señala con la mano.

   Dad laughs softly and says, "left," while he points with his hand.

8. Diego da este paso corto y ve a Ana de nuevo.

   Diego takes this short step and sees Ana again.

9. Diego susurra 'hi' a la luciérnaga, y Ana dice 'hello' con una sonrisa.

   Diego whispers 'hi' to the firefly, and Ana says 'hello' with a smile.

10. Ahora la luz está cerca y no está lejos, y los dos están juntos.

    Now the light is near and not far, and the two are together.

11. Papá dice 'goodbye' a la luciérnaga, y la familia entra a la casa para dormir.

    Dad says "goodbye" to the firefly, and the family goes into the house to sleep.
