Es ist Abend in Lenas Zimmer.

It is evening in Lena's room.
Die Lampe leuchtet warm und ganz matt.

The lamp shines warmly and very dimly.
"Ich heiße Lena," flüstert sie.

"My name is Lena," she whispers.
"Mein Name ist Lena," sagt sie und lächelt.

"My name is Lena," she says and smiles.
Lena atmet tief ein und sagt: "Ich stelle mich vor: Ich bin Lena."

Lena takes a deep breath and says, 'Let me introduce myself: I'm Lena.'
Mama Anna setzt sich neben sie auf das Bett.

Mom Anna sits next to her on the bed.
Mama holt kleine Karten und einen Stift.

Mom gets small cards and a pencil.
„Wir üben Namen," sagt Mama sanft.

"We're practicing names," Mama says softly.
Lena schreibt den Namen Emma auf die erste Karte.

Lena writes the name Emma on the first card.
Dann schreibt sie Ben, Mia, Noah, Lea, Paul und Tim.

'I can't read the names well this way,' Lena says quietly.
