Luca und die Monate im Zimmer

1. Es ist Abend in Lucas Zimmer, und Luca sieht seinen Kalender auf dem Tisch.

   It is evening in Luca's room, and Luca sees his calendar on the table.

2. Er hat eine Idee: Er will die Monate lernen und einen kleinen Plan machen.

   He has an idea: he wants to learn the months and make a small plan.

3. Er streicht mit dem Finger über bunte Felder und flüstert die Namen.

   He runs his finger over the colorful fields and whispers the names.

4. Er wird unsicher bei der Reihenfolge von März und April, und er runzelt die Stirn.

   He is unsure about the order of March and April, and he frowns.

5. Er fragt Mama Anna: Wie heißt der nächste Monat?

   He asks Mama Anna, 'What is the next month?'

6. Mama Anna setzt sich zu ihm aufs Bett, und sie lächelt ruhig.

   Mom Anna sits down on the bed next to him, and she smiles calmly.

7. Sie zeigt auf den Kalender und sagt: Es gibt zwölf Monate.

   She points at the calendar and says: There are twelve months.

8. Sie sprechen leise zusammen: Januar, Februar, März, April, Mai, Juni, Juli, August, September, Oktober, November, Dezember.

   They say quietly together: January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November, December.

9. Luca nickt und sagt: Ach so, März kommt nach Februar, und April kommt danach.

   Luca nods and says, "Oh, March comes after February, and April comes next."

10. Er kann jetzt die Reihenfolge sagen, und sein Gesicht wird wieder ganz ruhig.

    He can now say the order, and his face becomes calm again.

11. Im Juni habe ich Geburtstag, sagt Luca, und Mama malt einen kleinen Stern auf Juni.

    My birthday is in June, says Luca, and Mom draws a little star on the June calendar.

12. Morgen werde ich ein kleines Bild für Januar malen, und dann schlafe ich, flüstert er zufrieden.

    "Tomorrow I'll paint a small picture for January, and then I'll sleep," he whispers contentedly.
