Ben und das leise Bilderbuch

  1. Im Wohnzimmer ist es Abend.

    It's evening in the living room.

  2. Ben sitzt auf dem Sofa mit seinem Buch.

    Ben is sitting on the sofa with his book.

  3. Er will seiner kleinen Schwester Leni etwas leise zeigen.

    He wants to quietly show his little sister Leni something.

  4. Mama Anna lächelt, und Papa Max macht die Lampe warm und dunkel.

    Mom Anna smiles, and Dad Max makes the lamp warm and dim.

  5. "Ich lese dir vor", sagt Ben leise zu Leni.

    "I'll read to you," Ben says quietly to Leni.

  6. Leni gähnt, aber sie ist wach.

    Leni yawns, but she is awake.

  7. Ben öffnet ein buntes Buch und zeigt auf ein Bild.

    Ben opens a colorful book and points to a picture.

  8. "Hier ist ein", flüstert er, und Leni tippt mit dem Finger.

    "Here is one," he whispers, and Leni taps with her finger.

    "And here is one," says Mom gently.

  10. Ben blättert weiter und findet einen.

    Ben keeps flipping through and finds one.

  11. "Da ist auch ein", sagt Papa und lächelt.

    "There's one here too," says Dad, smiling.

  12. Ben zeigt auf eine Gruppe und sagt: "Das ist ein und das".

    Ben points at a group and says, 'This one and that one.'

  13. Plötzlich quietscht Leni, und das Buch rutscht fast zu Boden.

    Suddenly Leni squeaks, and the book almost falls to the floor.

  14. Ben hält es fest, er ist ruhig, und er kann weiterflüstern.

    Ben holds it tight, he is calm, and he can keep whispering.

  15. "Das ist mein Lieblingsbild", sagt Ben, und alle atmen leise und schlafen ein.

    "That is my favorite picture," says Ben, and everyone breathes softly and falls asleep.
