Story

Ben und der leise Eisbär

1. Es ist Abend in Bens Zimmer, und der Mond scheint leise durch das Fenster.

   It is evening in Ben's room, and the moon shines softly through the window.

2. Ben liegt im Bett und hält seinen Teddy fest.

   Ben is in bed holding his teddy tight.

3. Auf seiner Decke sieht er einen Bären mit einem freundlichen Gesicht.

   On his blanket he sees a bear with a friendly face.

4. Er wünscht sich eine kleine Reise im Zimmer, aber er möchte warm bleiben.

   He wants a little trip around the room, but he wants to stay warm.

5. Ben stellt seine Tiere im Kreis auf: einen Elefanten, einen Tiger und ein Nilpferd.

   Ben lines up his animals in a circle: an elephant, a tiger, and a hippo.

6. Mama Anna lächelt und sagt: "Sie passen auf dich ab, Ben."

   Mom Anna smiles and says, "They will look after you, Ben."

7. Ben öffnet ein Buch und zeigt auf einen Eisbären im Schnee.

   Ben opens a book and points to a polar bear in the snow.

8. Er flüstert: "Ich will den Eisbären sehen, aber ich bin klein."

   He whispers, 'I want to see the polar bear, but I'm small.'

9. Mama setzt sich neben ihn und sagt: "Der Eisbär ist groß und stark, und er ist trotzdem sanft in deiner Geschichte."

   Mom sits down beside him and says, "The polar bear is big and strong, but he is still gentle in your story."

11. Ben nickt, stellt sich vor, wie der Eisbär sanft durch das Zimmer geht und leise schnauft.

    Ben nods, imagining the polar bear walking gently through the room and snuffling quietly.

12. Der Elefant, der Tiger und das Nilpferd sitzen still, als wäre die Nacht ein weiches Meer.
