Tess en haar naam op het scherm

In de avond zit Tess op haar bed in haar kamer.

In the evening Tess sits on her bed in her room.
De tablet ligt naast haar kussen.

The tablet is next to her pillow.
Er is een app met namen op het scherm.

There is an app with names on the screen.
Ze wil haar naam zien en horen.

She wants to see and hear her name.
Tess tikt op "login".

Tess taps 'login'.
Ze ziet meer knoppen: "login-google" en "go".

She sees more buttons: "login-google" and "go".
Maar de app toont "Gast" in plaats van Tess.

But the app shows "Guest" instead of Tess.
Tess zucht en drukt op "logout".

Tess sighs and presses 'logout'.
Papa Jan komt erbij en gaat op de rand van het bed zitten.

Dad Jan comes over and sits on the edge of the bed.
Hij zegt: "Luister naar mij," en wijst op de knop "listen".

He says, "Listen to me," and points at the "listen" button.
"Druk eerst op login-google en dan op go," zegt hij rustig.

"Press login-google first and then go," he says calmly.
Samen typen ze Tess in het veld voor de naam, want dat is haar eigen naam.

Together they type Tess into the name field, because that's her name.
Op de hoes van de tablet staat "apple" als sticker met een klein rood fruit.

On the tablet case there's a sticker that says "apple" with a small red fruit.
Nu verschijnt Tess op het scherm, en ze lacht zacht.

Now Tess appears on the screen, and she smiles softly.
Haar letters staan groot en duidelijk.

Her letters are big and clear.
Papa zegt: "Goed gedaan; we sluiten de app en gaan slapen."

Dad says, "Well done; we'll close the app and go to sleep."
Tess legt de tablet neer en kruipt onder de deken.

Tess puts the tablet down and slips under the blanket.
De kamer is stil, en Tess valt in slaap.

The room is quiet, and Tess falls asleep.
