   Sollte der Küchenchef heute das Spezialgericht kochen? Ich würde es gerne probieren.

   Should the chef cook the special today? I would like to try it.

3. Mark
   Ja, es wird erwartet. Die Rezeptionistin sagte, das Restaurant sei heute Abend voll.

   Yes, it's expected. The receptionist said the restaurant will be full tonight.

4. Jenny
   Reservierung ist immer eine gute Idee. Hast du im Voraus gebucht?

   A reservation is always a good idea. Did you book in advance?

5. Mark
   Ja, gestern Abend. Der Manager hat unsere Anfrage sofort bestätigt.

   Yes, last night. The manager confirmed our request immediately.

   Großartig. Was wirst du bestellen? Das Steak hier ist berühmt.

   Great. What are you going to order? The steak here is famous.

   Ich denke, ich nehme den Salat und danach den Hauptgang [[main course]].

   I think I'll have the salad and then the main course.

8. Jenny
   Klingt köstlich. Ich entscheide mich vielleicht für die Suppe und ein Stück Kuchen.

   Sounds delicious. I might have the soup and a piece of cake.

9. Mark
   Der Service ist hier wirklich exzellent. Sogar der Türsteher war höflich.

   The service here is really excellent. Even the doorman was polite.

10. Jenny
    Das macht den Unterschied. Hotels mit gutem Personal sind immer beliebt.

    That makes the difference. Hotels with good staff are always popular.

11. Mark
    Letzte Woche war die Hausdame in unserem Hotel absolut wundervoll.

    Last week the housekeeper at our hotel was absolutely wonderful.

12. Jenny
    Das hört man gerne. Gute Gastfreundschaft macht jede Reise besser.

    That's nice to hear. Good hospitality makes every trip better.
