Verhaal

Drie foto's op het balkon

1. Het is de ochtend op het balkon van hun huis.

   It's morning on the balcony of their house.

2. Luuk heeft een rode auto, en hij lacht naar mama Eva.

   Luuk has a red car, and he smiles at his mom Eva.

3. 'Ik wil van elk deel van de dag een foto maken van mijn auto,' zegt Luuk.

   'I want to take a photo of my car at different times of the day,' Luuk says.

4. Er is zacht licht, en de bloemen zijn stil.

   There is soft light, and the flowers are still.

5. Luuk en mama maken op het balkon de eerste foto van de auto op de tafel.

   Luuk and Mom take the first picture of the car on the table from the balcony.

6. In de middag waait er wind op het balkon.

   In the afternoon the wind blows on the balcony.

7. De auto rolt onder de stoel, en Luuk kan hem niet zien.

   The car rolls under the chair, and Luuk can't see it.

8. Mama heeft een lange lepel en tikt zacht, en zij haalt de auto terug.

   Mama has a long spoon and taps softly, and she brings the car back.

9. Ze maken de middagfoto, en Luuk zucht blij.

   They take the afternoon photo, and Luuk sighs happily.

10. In de avond is de lucht blauwgrijs, en het balkon is stil.

    In the evening the sky is blue-gray, and the balcony is quiet.

11. Wij zullen de laatste foto maken en dan naar bed gaan.

    We will take the last photo and then go to bed.

12. Luuk kijkt naar de drie foto's en fluistert: 'Elke foto is een deel van de dag.'

    Luuk looks at the three photos and whispers, "Each photo is part of the day."
