Zeynep ve Hayvanların İki Evi

1. Zeynep, babası Ali ile şehirdeki hayvanat bahçesi kapısına gelir.

   Zeynep arrives at the city zoo gate with her father, Ali.

2. "Bugün suda ve karada yaşayan bir hayvan çizeceğim," der Zeynep.

   Today I'll draw an animal that lives in water and on land, says Zeynep.

3. Görevli Ayşe gülümser ve onlara yardım etmeyi teklif eder.

   Ayşe, the attendant, smiles and offers to help them.

4. Onlar akvaryuma doğru yürür ve camın önünde duruyor.

   They walk to the aquarium and stand in front of the glass.

5. Akvaryumda küçük bir balık sessizce yüzüyor.

   A small fish swims quietly in the aquarium.

6. "Burada mavi ışıklar ve kabarcıklar var," diye fısıldar Ali.

   "There are blue lights and bubbles here," Ali whispers.

7. Zeynep çok mutlu oluyor ve defterine dalgalar çizer.

   Zeynep becomes very happy and draws waves in her notebook.

8. Sonra, "Şimdi ineği de görmek istiyorum," der.

   Then they say, "Now I want to see the cow too."

9. Ama hoparlörden, "On beş dakika sonra kapanış var," diye bir anons gelir ve Zeynep kaygılanır.

   But an announcement from the speaker says, 'Closing in fifteen minutes,' and Zeynep gets worried.

10. Görevli Ayşe, "Sakin olun, ahıra kısa bir yol var," der ve onlara yolu gösterir.

    Attendant Ayşe says, "Stay calm, there is a short path to the barn," and shows them the way.

11. Üçü dar bir patikadan geçer, kuş seslerini dinler, ve yavaşça ahıra yaklaşır.

    The three walk along a narrow path, listen to the birds, and slowly approach the barn.

    At the end of the path a low door is visible and soft rustling comes from inside.

13. Kapıda durup içeri sessizce bakıyorlar; saman kokusu ve ılık hava var.

    They stand at the door and look inside quietly; there is the smell of hay and warm air.

14. Samanların arasında büyük, benekli bir inek sakin sakin çiğniyor.

    A big, spotted cow is calmly chewing in the hay.

15. Zeynep, "Merhaba, güzel inek," diye fısıldar ve hayvanı dikkatle çizer.

    Zeynep whispers, "Hello, pretty cow," and draws the animal carefully.

16. O, ineğin ağır nefesini ve akvaryumdaki suyun hafif sesini hatırlar ve içi ısınır.

    They remember the cow's heavy breathing and the gentle sound of the water in the aquarium, and they feel warm inside.

17. Zeynep, "Suda balık var, ahırda inek var; ikisi de evinde," diye düşünür.

    Zeynep thinks, "A fish is in the water and a cow is in the barn; both are at home."

18. Çıkışa yürürler, akşam ışıkları altında Zeynep uykusu gelir ve gülümser.

    They walk to the exit. Under the evening lights, Zeynep gets sleepy and smiles.
