Story

Ben fährt im Abendpark

1. Der Park ist ruhig am Abend.

   The park is quiet in the evening.

2. Ben ist mit Mama Anna und Bello, dem Hund, im Park.

   Ben is in the park with Mom Anna and Bello the dog.

3. Ben will langsam fahren mit seinem kleinen Tretauto.

   Ben wants to go slowly with his little pedal car.

4. Auf dem Schoß hat er ein Lieblingsspielzeug und eine Puppe.

   He has a favorite toy and a doll on his lap.

5. Mama geht nebenher und lächelt.

   Mom walks beside her and smiles.

6. Bello trabt freundlich neben dem Tretauto.

   Bello trots along beside the pedal car.

7. Plötzlich rollt ein roter Ball auf den Weg.

   Suddenly a red ball rolls onto the path.

8. Der Ball springt vor das Tretauto.

   The ball bounces in front of the pedal car.

9. Ben bremst, und die Puppe wackelt fast vom Schoß.

   Ben brakes, and the doll almost falls off his lap.

10. Ben ruft: "Oh nein, fällt sie?"

    Ben shouts, "Oh no, is it falling?"

11. Bello rennt schnell, holt den Ball und bringt ihn zurück.

    Bello runs quickly, fetches the ball, and brings it back.

12. Mama fängt die Puppe sanft, damit sie nicht fällt.

    Mom gently catches the doll so it doesn't fall.

13. Ben atmet aus und fährt wieder ruhig.

    Ben exhales and drives calmly again.

14. Am Teich sehen sie eine Ente mit kleinen Wellen.

    At the pond they see a duck and small ripples.

15. Ben hält sein Lieblingsspielzeug hoch und flüstert: "Schau, Ente, alles gut."

    Ben holds up his favorite toy and whispers, "Look, Duck, it's okay."

16. Er macht noch eine kleine Runde und hält dann an der Bank bei Mama.

    He makes one more short round and then stops at the bench by Mom.

17. Mama sagt leise: "Du kannst stolz sein, Ben."

    Mom says quietly, 'You can be proud, Ben.'

18. Zusammen packen sie die Puppe ein, streicheln Bello und gehen fröhlich nach Hause.

    Together they pack the doll away, pet Bello, and go home happily.
