Story

Flüstern im Abendgarten

1. Es ist Abend im Garten.

   It's evening in the garden.

2. Der Garten ist still, und Mama steht an der Haustür und winkt.

   The garden is quiet, and Mom stands at the front door and waves.

3. Finn hat eine Idee: ein Flüster-Spiel über die Strecke.

   Finn has an idea: a whispering game about the route.

4. Er hat drei kleine Schilder; auf einem steht "near", auf einem "far", und auf einem ein Pfeil mit "left".

   He has three small signs; one says 'near', another 'far', and another has an arrow with 'left'.

5. Finn ruft leise: "hi".

   Finn quietly calls, "Hi."

6. Mama ruft vom Haus zurück: "hello".

   Mom calls back from the house: 'hello'.

7. Die Stimmen klingen klein und weit weg, also zeigt Finn das Pfeil-Schild.

   The voices sound small and far away, so Finn points to the arrow sign.

8. Sie gehen langsam den Weg entlang nach links.

   They walk slowly along the path to the left.

9. Jetzt ist Mama ganz nah bei ihnen, und Finn lächelt.

   Now Mom is very close to them, and Finn smiles.

10. Er hebt das Schild mit dem Wort near und sagt: Das passt.

    He lifts the sign with the word 'near' and says, 'That fits.'

11. Dann flüstert Finn zum Tag: "goodbye", und alle sagen: Gute Nacht.

    Then Finn whispers to the day, 'goodbye', and everyone says, 'Good night.'
