Story

Ben und die Zeigekarten

1. Es ist Abend in Bens Zimmer, und alles ist leise.

   It is evening in Ben's room, and everything is quiet.

2. Ben möchte Mia zeigen, wo die Sachen sind.

   Ben wants to show Mia where the things are.

3. Er hat kleine Karten; auf einer steht "this".

   He has small cards; one says 'this'.

4. Auf anderen Karten stehen "that" und "here".

   Other cards have "that" and "here".

5. Es gibt auch Karten mit "these" und "those".

   There are also cards with "these" and "those".

6. Auf einer letzten Karte steht "preposition-in-front-of".

   On the last card it says 'preposition-in-front-of'.

7. Ben zeigt auf den nahen Ball und sagt: "Das hier ist unser Ball."

   Ben points to the nearby ball and says, 'This is our ball.'

8. Mia schaut auf zwei Teddys und sagt: "Diese sind Freunde."

   Mia looks at two teddy bears and says, "These are friends."

9. Dann verwechselt Mia kurz "these" und "those", und beide kichern leise.

   Then Mia briefly confuses "these" and "those", and both giggle quietly.

    They arrange the toys: The bear is in front of the lamp, like on the card.

12. Am Ende liegen die Karten still, das Licht ist warm, und Ben und Mia schlafen fast ein.
