Story

Finn blijft kalm op het vliegveld

1. Finn staat met mama Sara en zusje Noor in de hal van het airport.

   Finn is standing with his mom Sara and little sister Noor in the airport hall.

2. Hun trip begint vandaag, en Finn wil bij het raam zitten, want hij houdt van naar wolken kijken.

   Their trip starts today, and Finn wants to sit by the window because he likes to watch the clouds.

3. Door het glas ziet hij een gele taxi wegrijden, en hij tilt zijn lichte luggage op.

   Through the glass he sees a yellow taxi drive away, and he lifts his light luggage.

4. Mama glimlacht en zegt dat dit een kleine adventure is.

   Mama smiles and says this is a little adventure.

5. Ze nemen de elevator naar de volgende verdieping om de controles te bereiken.

   They take the elevator to the next floor to reach the controls.

6. Maar halverwege stopt de lift even, en alles is stil.

   But halfway up, the elevator stops for a moment, and everything is quiet.

7. Eerst was Finn even bang, maar hij keek naar Mama en werd kalm.

   At first Finn was a little scared, but he looked at Mama and became calm.

8. Hij drukte op de helpknop en belde de balie, en ze wachtten samen.

   He pressed the help button and called reception, and they waited together.

9. Een stem zei dat ze rustig moesten blijven, want hulp kon zo komen.

   A voice said they should stay calm, because help could come soon.

10. Na een minuut ging de deur open en een medewerker, Mark, hielp hen naar buiten.

    After a minute the door opened and a staff member, Mark, helped them outside.

11. Ze bedankten hem en liepen snel, maar niet rennend, naar hun gate.

    They thanked him and walked quickly, but not running, to their gate.

12. Bij het raam zag Finn een blauw bord met het woord railway naar de stad, en hij zwaaide even naar een voorbijrijdende trein.

    At the window, Finn saw a blue sign with the word 'railway' pointing to the city, and he waved to a passing train.

13. Bij de gate stond een vriendelijke pilot met een pet, en ze glimlachte naar Finn.

    At the gate stood a friendly pilot with a cap, and she smiled at Finn.

14. Ze zei dat ze nog op tijd waren, en gaf hem een sticker van een vliegtuig.

    She said they were still on time, and gave him a plane sticker.

15. Finn vond een vrije seat naast Mama en keek naar de startbaan.

    Finn found a free seat next to Mom and looked at the runway.

16. Hij dacht aan de schrik in de lift, maar ook aan hoe iedereen hielp.

    He thought about the scare in the elevator, and also about how everyone helped.

17. Samen praatten ze zacht, en Finn voelde zich trots op hoe dapper Noor was.

    They spoke softly together, and Finn felt proud of how brave Noor was.

18. Hun plan bleef rustig: straks luisteren ze naar de borden en gaan ze vrolijk aan boord, en Finn zwaait nog één keer naar de stad.

    Their plan stayed calm: later they listen to the signs and happily get on board, and Finn waves one more time at the town.
