Story

De Tent in de Woonkamer

1. Sem is thuis in het huis met zijn familie.

   Sem is at home with his family.

2. Hij heeft een plan voor de avond: een kussentent in de woonkamer.

   He has a plan for the evening: a pillow fort in the living room.

3. Zijn zus Lotte helpt, en Sem maakt een dak van een deken.

   His sister Lotte helps, and Sem makes a roof out of a blanket.

4. Maar er is een klein probleem: de deken is te kort.

   But there is a small problem: the blanket is too short.

5. Hun vader Mark kijkt en glimlacht zacht.

   Their father, Mark, watches and smiles softly.

6. Hij pakt een grotere doek en helpt.

   He takes a bigger cloth and helps.

7. Nu staat de tent stevig, en de lamp schijnt warm binnen.

   Now the tent is standing firm, and the lamp shines warmly inside.

8. Dan belt zijn vriend Milan, en hij wil luisteren naar een verhaaltje in de tent.

   Then his friend Milan calls, and he wants to listen to a story in the tent.

9. Sem vraagt: Papa, mag hij ook meekijken?

   Sem asks, 'Dad, can he watch too?'

10. Papa knikt en fluistert: Ja, maar stil zijn, het is bijna bedtijd.

    Dad nods and whispers that they should be quiet; it's almost bedtime.

11. Ze zitten dicht bij elkaar, en Lotte vertelt een kort verhaal.

    They sit close together, and Lotte tells a short story.

12. Sem zucht blij, Milan luistert zacht, en iedereen valt bijna in slaap.

    Sem sighs happily, Milan listens quietly, and everyone almost falls asleep.
