Het is vroeg op het strand.
It is early on the beach.
Lucas, zijn zus Noor, en papa Tom lopen over het zachte zand.
Lucas, his sister Noor, and Papa Tom walk over the soft sand.
"De lucht is blauw," zegt Noor rustig.
"The sky is blue," says Noor calmly.
Noor heeft een rode vlieger, maar de wind is zacht.

"Waarom waait het hier zo weinig?" vraagt Lucas.
"Why is there so little wind here?" Lucas asks.
Papa zegt: "We wachten even, en we lopen naar het pad bij de pier."
Dad says, "We'll wait a moment, and we'll walk to the path by the pier."
Lucas heeft een kleine fiets.
Lucas has a small bike.
Ze rijden langzaam naast elkaar op het houten pad.
They ride slowly side by side on the wooden path.
"We kunnen hier rustig rondjes maken," zegt Papa.
"We can walk around here quietly," Dad says.
Er is een kleine boot bij de pier.
There is a small boat at the pier.
Lucas wijst en lacht, want hij ziet golven achter de boot.
Lucas points and laughs, because he sees waves behind the boat.
"Als de wind van zee komt, gaat de vlieger omhoog," zegt Noor.
"When the wind comes from the sea, the kite goes up," says Noor.
De wind wordt sterker en de vlieger gaat rustig omhoog.
The wind gets stronger and the kite rises slowly.
"Nu wil ik het proberen," zegt Lucas, en hij houdt het touw vast.
"Now I want to try it," Lucas says, and he holds the rope.
De vlieger danst in de lucht en Lucas voelt zich blij.
The kite dances in the sky and Lucas feels happy.
Daarna gaan ze samen even zwemmen naast papa in het ondiepe water.
After that they swim together next to Dad in the shallow water.
